The library provides free use of computers, internet access and email as well
as books, CDs, Videos, Photocopying and faxing services. Parish
Council and local information is also displayed in the library.
The following reading clubs and groups are available at the library.

| Family History Group |
Meets fortnightly on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 10am. Just drop in. Everyone welcome. |
| Pre-School Story Time |
Every Tuesday at 2.30pm. Come
along and listen to a story. For children from the age of three. |
| Chatterbooks |
The book club for children aged 8 to 11
is held once per month on a Monday at 3.45pm. The children
discuss the book they have just read and are given another for the
following month. They also make 'things' relevant to the books. Refreshments
(squash) are provided. |
| Lancashire Reading Trail |
Children read 50 books altogether while working their way around a map of Lancashire, collecting character cards along the way such as 'The reading Prince', 'The Lancashire reading Dragon' or 'the Wise Bowland Boar'. They collect certificates and obtain a prize at the end.

| The Bookstart Bear Club |
Giving children a lifelong love of books.
For children from aged 0 to 4. This involves the child having a passport and on every visit to the library getting the passport stamped. After 6 stamps a certificate is awarded. There are lots to collect! |

We will
read one book per month and then meet to discuss it in an informal

Every Monday afternoon run by a volunteer. If people are interested in this they need to speak to a member of staff. |
